Soccer Player Registration

2024 Soccer Registration will open on 4/1/2024!

How do I register my player?

Registering your player(s) is completed on the BPAA Soccer SportsEngine Website (CLICK ON LINK ABOVE).  Registration fees are accepted online by credit/debit card or checking account only.  You will fill out your registration information, sign waivers, code of conduct policies and pay your league fee all on this site.

There is NO online payment or cash walk-up option with the City of Brooklyn Park's Recreation & Parks office .   All registrations are done online through SportsEngine.

IN-PERSON/ASSISTED REGISTRATION

If you can only pay by cash or money order, you must attend one of the two dates for in-person registration held at the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center where there will be volunteers available to assist you with the online registration form and fee payment process. These are also the preferred dates to attend if you wish to apply for financial assistance.

To help speed up your assisted registration, please remember your SportsEngine account (typically your email) and password.  If you need to create a SportsEngine account, please do so prior to the in-person dates.  Click here to create a SportsEngine account.

Registration Rules

All participating soccer players must be registered with BPAA Soccer to play on a BPAA Soccer team and may only be registered on one team. If a team has any unregistered players, the games played using those players will be forfeited and disciplinary action may be taken.

A youth player may only be registered by his/her parent or guardian online.  The registration fee for 2024 is $95 per player.  Refunds of the registration fee (minus $20 for registration handling) may be given until the first game of the season. No refunds will be given after the season starts.

After regular registration, late registrations are accepted only if there is space available up until June 15th.  For late registrations, no special "friend" requests for teams can be honored and the division coordinator has sole discretion on player placement.  An additional $20 will be added to the fee and these players are assigned to teams in need of players as determined by the division coordinator.

Youth Soccer Eligibility

The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) has set a restriction on high school soccer players that makes it a violation for them to also play on a non-school team once the high school season begins.  For the 2024 season, August 12th is the projected starting date.

For BPAA Soccer in 2024, the season tournament ends August 11th, which means players will not be in violation of the eligibility rule.

Friend Requests and Team Formation

Important!  If your child wants to be assigned to a team with a friend, both players must list each other at the time of registration.  Only those who have listed each other are guaranteed to be on the same team.  Players may only list one friend and that friend must also list them. (For example, Pat Johnson lists Chris Smith and Chris Smith lists Pat Johnson.  Chris and Pat will be placed on the same team.)

Note:  No player requests may be made after regular registration ends and team formation has begun.  Siblings at the same age level are automatically placed together.

You may request that your child NOT be placed on a particular coach's team, but you cannot request to be ON a particular coach's team.

Placement on teams is decided by the division coordinator and is considered final when the roster has been released to the coaches.  Players will be notified by their coaches and/or electronically after the rosters have been handed out at the coach meeting.
