6 & 7 YEAR OLD NATIONAL LEAGUE PROGRAM DETAILS

If your child turns 6 or 7 years old on May 1 they qualify for this program. If you have a child who is 5 AND graduating from kindergarten, he/she can participate in this program.  He/she will be playing at Grade, not age.

  • They play about 10 games per season.  This does not include tournaments.
  • Opening Day is on April 29th. 
  • Mid-Season Tournament will be June 2-4.
  • The total number of teams allowed is based on enrollment (limit is 12 kids per team).
  • Game nights: Most will be on Tuesday and/or Thursday Nights
  • Games played at Founders Park and Brookdale Park.
  • Pitching is done by coaches (overhand).
  • There are 9 kids playing per inning, there is no catcher position (4 kids are in the outfield).
  • There will be a continues battering order for each game.  The coach can make a new batting line up for each game of the season and tournament games.  
  • Strikeouts: Coaches will be provided a rule book that address this and other rules.
  • Stealing is not allowed.
  • Distance between the bases is 50 feet.
  • A Little League baseball is used.
  • A paid umpire is used to officiate the game.
  • Game Length: No new inning will start after 1 hour, 50 minutes.
  • End of the Season Tournament will be the weekend of June 23-25.
