8/9 YEAR OLD NATIONAL LEAGUE PROGRAM DETAILS

If your child turns 8 years old on or before May 1 they qualify for this program.

• They play 10-12 games per season.
• The total number of teams allowed is based on enrollment (usually 12 players team).
• There are 10 kids playing per inning (4 kids are in the outfield).
• Game nights will be most likely be on Mondays and/or Wednesdays.
• Opening Day is Saturday, April 29th. 
• Mid-Season Tournament is the weekend of June 2-4.
• All innings of pitching is done by a spring-loaded pitching machine until June 4.  
• Starting June 5, pitching is done by a spring -loaded pitching machine for the first 3 innings. and the last 3 innings are pitched by players.  
• 3 innings of player pitch after mid season tournament.
• End of the Season Tournament will be the weekend of June 23-25.  
• The game consists of 6 innings.
• There will be continues batting order for each game. The coach can make a new batting line up for each game of the season and tournament games.
• Strikeouts are allowed.
• Stealing is not allowed.
• Distance between the bases is 55-60 feet.
• A Little League baseball is used.
• A paid umpire is used to officiate the game.
• Game Length:  No new inning will start after 1 hour, 50 minutes of the first pitch.
