BPAA MINUTES FOR JANUARY, 2008
The meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Fireside Room at Edinburgh, USA in Brooklyn Park

TREASURER’S REPORT
Treasurer Gail Corbett was absent, but had her husband, Dave Corbett, distribute a Balance Sheet Detail of BPAA as of January 22, 2008. The numerous returned checks in the Football program were noted and Mark Palm suggested payments for the program go through the City in the future. Then the City will collect on any returned checks.

Letters are being sent out regarding mini-camp and registration
BASKETBALL – Tami & Penny
Tournaments are over. Have a lot of checks to turn in. There have been a lot of changes in the Board and they are in need of more volunteers.
Ron Ostendorf was recognized for his over 20 years of volunteer service with BPAA; most recently as the referee scheduler.
CITY OF BROOKLYN PARK – Mark Palm
With BPAA’s help the City has been able to up-grade facilities. Soccer registration went well. Softball registration begins Feb. 1. On 2/23/08 there is an Open House and Health Fair at CAC. Anyone is invited to have a booth and hand out information regarding their program.

SOFTBALL – Ed
Upgraded uniforms, upgraded equipment, there is a new logo and a new website (BPAASoftball.org)

Registration is set, Traveling coaches have been selected.
NEW BUSINESS
Wayne Heuer presented plan for men’s baseball program and is requesting the program be affiliated with BPAA.
