M/S/P

TREASURER'S REPORT:
*M/S/P

BASKETBALL:
*    Registration for this fall is set.  Will give registration dates to Jay to get in the next brochure.

SOFTBALL:
*    Budget passed out.  M/S/P.
*    Season has started.  Numbers down a little.  Still getting some late sign-ups.  Won't take any more sign-ups once we've played six games.
*    Porta-potties were delivered a week late - received the second week of May.
*    Have six umpires (high-school kids).
*    The lock at the Brookdale shed has changed.
*    No parent complaints.
*    Will store the portable mound at Zane.

BASEBALL:
*    Lost the Zane field to soccer.
*    Have 700 players, up from 620.
*    Had some problems with 12/13 Babe Ruth.  Started two weeks late.  Numbers down.  Will not divide Babe Ruth into American & National Leagues.
*    Need a key for the lights and storage at Brookdale.  Ed has an extra key for the lights and will give it to Wayne.
*    The first night game is Thursday (May 26).
*    Storing the pitching mound at Brookdale should be okay.
*    Have 45 volunteers at the committee meetings.
*    This will be my last year.

SOCCER:
*    Budget distributed.  Down $5,000 from last year.  M/S/P.
*    Raised fees $5.
*    1,100 signed up.
*    Jay has the field goals.

FOOTBALL:
*    Had a clinic last Thursday at Park Center.  Coach Terry Westermann was there with a dozen players and coaches.  52 kids participated.  Terry talked to the kids and had various stations for them to participate at.  Will do next year, maybe make it over 2-3 days.  Channel 12 news covered it - like a Vikings mini camp.  Andrew London (parent) organized the mini camp.
*    Registration starts May 25.

CITY:
*    Will present Lease Agreement at the next City Council meeting on June 6.  If this date is missed next date is June 20.
*    Need to reword the finance language.  We agreed to pay $25,000 up front, but not necessarily $25,000 a year thereafter.
*    Insurance reference is wrong - BPAA will insure the contents.  The City will insure the building.
*    Some concern about the wording regarding costs (#11).  "...pay all fees, taxes, wages and other charges and expenses...on the Property."  Get a better explanation?  We are not paying the property taxes.
*    Brought the plans for the new storage building.  No one really liked it.  It has two doors as it's recommended there be an entrance and an exit.  Baseball and football have the most storage area.  It's 36 x 54'.  There is no common room area.  All sports would like this for ease in passing out equipment.  Submitting new idea.
*    The City is in the process of getting an electronic reader board.

Meeting adjourned.  M/S/P

NEXT MEETING is Tuesday, June 28 at 8:30 p.m.  Will be in the Armory Classroom.
