*    Jay Lotthammer, Amber Olson, Dan Williams, Richard Habstritt, Dave Corbett, Ed Ampe, Wayne Heuer, Dave Gulbrandson, Markus Carter, John Lindquist and Dede Boelter.

SECRETARY'S REPORT:
*    Amend April's amendment - softball has never considered waiving their fee for committee members' children  It's soccer.
*    M/S/P

TREASURER'S REPORT:
*    Question about the "missing" checks.  They weren't actually missing, just weren't in the statement yet.
*    Richard gave Dave some checks which will help offset the negative balance.
*    Differential account emptied.

NOTE:
*    Amber Olson joins us tonight.  She is an intern with Brooklyn Park's Park & Rec Department.

BASEBALL - Wayne
*    This is the first year baseball has sold clothing (jerseys, t-shirts, jackets).  Clothing made through You Name It.  Made $455.
*    Baseball is expanding to include 13 & 14 year olds to compete with the Babe Ruth program.  Will have traveling and house teams.  The Board will vote to approve at the next meeting.
*    National league would like better facilities; to be addressed at next meeting.
*    The school fields, especially Zanewood, are not in as good shape as they could be.  Try and develop better fields.
*    Have issues with getting in at Northwoods.  The locks were changed after the break in.  Can the City get a lock box there to keep a current key in?
*    Numbers up from last year - 640 players.

SOCCER - Dave & John
*    Registration is going on.

FOOTBALL - Markus
*    Registration begins in July.
*    2004 budget distributed.  The Titans should be solvent next year.  M/S/P.
*    Dave Sanchez, who coaches the Titans, lost his daughter, Danielle, in a motor vehicle collision.  A foundation is being established for her.  A golf outing will be held at North Fork on July 13.  Would BPAA sponsor a hole for $125?  Markus doesn't know what the money will be used for.  Will find out.

BASKETBALL - Richard
*    Season is over.
*    Fees next year will be raised $5 for elementary.
*    Looking for a software program with a registration package that's internet based.
*    Looking at options to get a cheaper rate of insurance
*    Once Osseo's new community director is settled in Richard will meet with him regarding fees.

SOFTBALL - Ed
*    Registration is done.
*    16 teams start this week; 19 teams start next week.
*    $670 rebate from the Photo Guy.
*    Have some issues with recruitment.  It's an unwritten rule there's no recruiting but there have been some problems.  The coach denies it but parents and players allege it.  Discuss adding a written form of punishment for breaking rules (recruiting).
*    Softball has a Sam's Club membership in Jan's name.  Should they renew?  Would anybody use?  Yes.  It's $30 to renew; make available to BPAA.
*    Fast pitch needs lines drawn on fields.  Working with Jay to get it done.

CITY - Jay
*    Deadline for getting information into City's Park & Rec brochure is July 1.  Will come out in mid-August.
*    Grand opening for new sport park is June 18, during Tater Daze.
*    If you have any field issues contact Jay.  He's working with maintenance guys to get it done.
*    Storage - Kickers are also interested in storage availability.  There is the site at Zane across from the current maintenance shed with future possibilities for concessions, expansion and toilets.  Hope to be working with an architect in early June.  Other associations, in addition to the Kickers, may be interested.
*    Central Park - Soil improvement may take place this year.  Need to cover the hill with 3-4' of soil.  East of the hill we need 2-3' of soil (along Noble).  It won't impact building.  So maybe get everything in place before the old building is torn down.
